2008 - An Update
I'm afraid all the sheep spend most of their time now grazing out in the hills of Mid-Wales and beyond. So not much news to report I'm afraid!
However some of the sheep have been up to a bit of mischief with each other, and as a result there's now some new lambs! Congratualations go out to Daz and Ez who had a baby boy in December 2007, Jean-Michel and Michelle who had a baby girl earlier this year, and also Duncan and Pip who had a baby girl in May 2008.
One of these days, the sheep will return!
2007 - Another sheep getting married
This February, join us in wishing Darren (picture on left) and Eryl all the best in their wedding.
I'm afriad that there is no sheep tour this year either. The sheep are currently out to pasture.
2006 - No sheep this year
Boo! I'm afraid there was no sheep-on-tour skiing outing this year. Maybe next year...
Skiing 2005 - The return to home
With the help of our sheep dogs Shep and Rex, all sheep are back in their home pens without injury. A very successful trip was had by
all with plenty of skiing and boarding going on. Everyone is pretty knackered now.
A growing number of photos (120+) are now in the gallery - more will be added over the coming weeks.
If you saw the sheep on the slopes of Livigno, please sign our guestbook.
Skiing 2005 - Biggest Flock Ever!
The flock are heading back to Livigno, Italy, between the 22nd and 29th January.
There are sixteen of us going which makes this a record breaking year for the sheep!
Most of us this year are skiing though we have a couple snow boarding and one just lazing about
probably spending a most of time in Gallis pub!
So, if you're off to Livigno the same time as us you're going to see sheep everywhere you go!
Red slopes, blue slopes, nursery slopes. And you never know - there may be the odd wolf around too!
The flock hope to see you there! You certainly won't miss us.
- View photos from our last trip to Livigno four years ago
- Watch out for new photos over the coming days & weeks...
SHEEP COSTUME TEMPLATES |
Kevin, the black sheep of our family, has drawn up his and her costume templates to help the new sheep of our
flock make their warm winter coats.

Injured Sheep Return From Mayrhofen!
They're back! Rich broke his collar bone on the second day, and the others have various bruses and sprains.
NOTE: We've had to move to a new guestbook as our old one appears to be a bit elusive at present! If we can get the old one back then we will merge the two together.

Skiing 2004 - Mayrhofen, Austria.
After testing pastures new in Austria last year, and because we left it so late that we had to take what we could get, the flock are heading to Austria
again, and to the resort of Mayrhofen. Quite a famous resort, popular with
the Brits, so we'll just have to see how the sheep are received. The locals
in Soll seemed to appreciate the joke, but there were only two of us!!!
The sheep will be venturing to this new pasture on the 7th February for one week. This year we have a flock of 5 this year, 4 regulars (Daz, Kev W, Rich and
Paul) plus a new member (Chris Potts).

Skiing 2003 - Austria
1st Feb 2003
And their off! This year, its a bit of a poor showing I'm afraid.
Only two of the flock are going - and you can't really that a flock
anyway! So spotting a sheep this year is going to be VERY hard
(though they have promised the rest of us that the sheep will be
out, sometime over the holiday).
This year breaks from the tradition of Italy to head out to Söll, Austria.
The two sheep keeping up the tradition are Paul and Rich (aka
"Fred") - good on them and shame on the rest of us! They
are there for THIS WEEK only - 1st February to the 7th February.
They are not alone though, as they have gone with 12 other lads so
its certainly not going to be a quiet one.
The rest of the sheep are in quite a lot of distress that, due to
various circumstances, only
two of the flock have gone this year, but who knows - if a cheap
skiing/boarding holiday presents itself in March...! Watch this
space!
No doubt, the lads are having a great time out there whilst the
rest of us are stuck here in rainy old Wales. Never mind - I'm sure
some photos will be taken and put up on this site in the coming
weeks. And if you happen to see a sheep on tour this year, let us know!!

Undercover: TT2002
Darren, Kevin and Aled attended the TT racing over the Jubilee bank
holiday. None of us had cameras so there will be no photos (but
see box-out bottom left!).

Llani Fancy Dress: July 5th
Bob the Builder, Red Devil, Firemen, St. Trinians were some of
the costumes of the sheep in this years event. Llani fancy dress is often dubbed Wales' largest street
party and is held in the town of Llanidloes near Newtown. It occurs
on the first Friday of July and is a pretty wicked event to go to.
There are people from far a field
that come to it. |

CLEETHORPES 2002
The annual Cleethorpes weekend was on the 26th-28th April. A lesser
affair this year with no sheeping and only 12 of us, but still a
good time was had.
Mad Sunday cocktail roulette in the Voodoo bar was done as usual,
with some £100 spent at the bar in the matter of half an hour.
No official competition this year though, but Kevin was the first
pissed and Paula the first to chunder (though it was a TC).
Special mention has to be made for "Muddy Pond", a new
drink made by Paula that consisted of vodka, whiskey, larger, coffee
and many more items. However the worst tasting was the drink made
with Jiff Lemon!
We may have some photos in the undercover section in the future. |

Guest Sheep in London
14/Apr/02: In the busy metropolis of London there are still sheep
to be found! This photo was sent in by one Rich (aka Fred), one
of the regular sheep, who's friends Chris and Kristy dressed up
as sheep for a bit of a party.

Cervinia 2002
Sunday 13th, the sheep landed safely back in Birmingham airport.
A successful and enjoyable holiday all round (with the minor inconvenience
of one of the sheep [me - Aled] badly injuring his knee on the first
day putting him out of action for the whole week!).
This time around we have promoted this web site more than ever.
So please, if you met us on holiday sign
our guest book now, letting us know who you are and where
we saw you (just in case we were drunk and forgot!).
Also, if you have your own web-site with your holiday snaps on,
tell us and we can link to it!
UPDATES
24/Jan: Over 60 photos from this year's tour are now available
for viewing! |

Skiing 2002 - Sheep return to Cervinia!
The time had come! - in the early hours of Sunday
6th of January the sheep will have started their annual skiing outing.
This year we are heading back to Cervinia in the Italian/Switz
alpes along side the Matterhorn. This is where the flock first made
their outing. Eight of the flock are booked in.
We are going to stay at the same hotel as last time, the Compagnoni
which is ideally situated in the centre of the town within easy
reach of everywhere. Lets see if they remember us and if old faces
like Lucia and Patricia are still around!
So, watch out for the flock of sheep in the early hours of Sunday
morning. Watch out for us in Birmingham airport (if it's
open) heading out to Turin. And if you are heading out to
Cervnia yourself, see you out there.
Watch out for details of our holiday on this web site in the following
weeks.

SHEEP HISTORY |
Why do we do this? Well...
In the beginning there was the Australian Christmas Beach Party.
Since then, the flock has grown and ventured into many pastures around
the UK and Europe. The big event for the sheep is our annual skiing
trip, where we dress up as sheep for the duration of the holiday and go around looking foolish and being foolish.
You can read about all the other places the sheep have
been to on our history page.
Why Sheep?
We're Welsh. Says it all!
