This is a summary of all the places and events the Sheep have been to.
Original sheep by Glenda, Alwena and Jean-Michel. Based on Sean the Sheep from Wallace and Grommit.
Flock increased to 6 for the Boxing Day Charity Pram push. The sheep modified the theme to suit, and took a stock lorry instead.
Flock increased further to 10, very drunk.
The very first skiing holiday for the sheep with a flock numbering 6. Costumes were designed to fit over ski outfits, great reaction from the outset with the hotel owners wanting to take photos of us before we got the room keys. Flock members were Kev W, Daz, Paul, Kev V, Aled and Mark.
Llanidloes is a small town near to Newtown in Mid-Wales, where on the first Friday of July the main street is closed and a big fancy dress party is held. Four of the flock abandoned ambitious fancy dress plans at the last minute, and opted for the sheep. A rather low key outing.
Flock up to 14 for a long weekend in Cleethorpes. Jean is welcomed into the flock for the first time. The costumes were only utilised for one night.
30th birthday party for Sharon, who had met the flock in Cervinia and Cleethorpes. Five member of the flock were present (Sarah, Kev, Daz, Aled and Paul).
Second skiing of the sheep, flock totalled 9. Jean convinces Rich to join the flock who was initially very doubtful and wary, but was soon converted by the general reaction received by the flock. The rams (Darren and Kev) did a "full-monty" performance. Duncan also joined last minute, and had to make do one of the original costumes that was more like a mini-skirt. However that was only the start. Duncan brought his own skis with him which fooled the whole flock into thinking he was a good skier - in reality he was master of the great British Snow Plough. Also, Duncan's septic tank story became legendary!
Flock consisted of: Daz, Kev W, JM, Rich, Aled (ill), Kev V, Mark, Duncan and Sharon who was the wolf.
The flock numbered 7 on a Wales vs. France five nations rugby match. However we were in for trouble in our nation's capital city - the flock had to abandon the costumes in the evening time on the grounds of personal safety! Good job too - at the end of the night Darren slammed the front door of a taxi closed not realising that the previous occupant's hand was still wrapped around the door pillar. Ouch! Said person then (after a short delay for the pain to break through the alcohol barrier) got rather upset and punched Ed who was innocently standing by.
Sheep: Kev V, Daz, Kev W, JM, Ed, Aled, Sarah.
Flock up to record number of 17, with three farmers and two Little Bo Peeps. First appearance of Mary, the Leprechaun Sheep.
Cross-dressing was involved, together with with a very dodge pole-dancing session (the DJ put the smoke machine on overdrive).
Flock of 7, plus THE greatest moment in Sheep Folklore. Flock consisted of: Aled, Daz, Kev, Paul, JM, Rich, Ed.
First dry run for the costumes prior to the skiing trip in January.
The return to Cervinia for our annual skiing trip. Flock of 8 this time. Aled falls over the first day and damages his knee again.
The first time the flock head out of Italy on a skiing holiday. This was a low year for the sheep-on-tour as only two could go. Still they didn't go unnoticed.
Back again to Austria this year and with a new sheep called Chris, making it 5 sheep this year.
Having found the Austrian's not as friendly to the sheep as the Italian's, we've decided to head back to Italy this year. But hold on a minute... this is a history page and this hasn't happened yet. (though if it has then I've obviously got bored with updating the website again!)
Thanks to Paul for help in compiling parts of this list!
