Ski Shop
This photo was taken by the attendant of the ski gear/hire shop by the cable car station. You should see a copy stuck on the wall there!

Stories behind the pictures

Hotel Surprise Party

The hotel owners liked us so much they actually held a surprise party for us. This was quite an unexpected thing to have - the bar man (David) made some punch for us, the night porter (from Croatia I think) made us some cakes and the owners made us other nibbles and gave EACH of us a BOTTLE OF WINE!

In the photo above you can make out David on the left; the hotel owner next to Kevin in the sheeps costume which we'd taken over especially for her; the night man on the right and [??] to his right. Unfortunately, Archille Compagnoni himself (the first man to climb to the summit of K2) could not make it.

The sheep would like to thank the hotel owners for their excellent hospitality!
